Xiaomi Blackshark Latest Leak CONFIRMS Snapdragon 845 For Upcoming Gaming Smartphone
The Chinese tech giant Xiaomi is all set to unveil their new gaming smartphone dubbed as ‘Blackshark’. According, to the latest leak, the device has been confirmed on the official social media account of Blackshark. The rumored gaming phone was previously spotted on the AnTuTu and Geekbench revealing its specs.
Blackshark’s official Weibo account confirmed that its first gaming smartphone will be powered by the powerful chipset for Android smartphones that is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845. According to AnTuTu benchmark listing, Xiaomi Blackshark will come running Android Oreo right out of the box and will be powered by Adreno 630 GPU. The device is said to come featuring 8 GB of RAM with 64 GB and 128 GB internal storage variants. The listing also revealed that the gaming phone from Blackshark will feature a Full HD display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and a trendy aspect ratio of 18:9.
Blackshark has scored 270680 on Geekbench that is surprisingly more than the Samsung Galaxy S9+, which is at 265267. The scores are higher than expected, apparently, this is all due to a new aviation-class cooling solution that keeps the CPU and GPU from thermal-throttling under load.
Unfortunately, there is no information available on the release date of the Blackshark smartphone. However, since Blackshark will compete with the already launched Razer gaming phone and it will be backed up by the sub-brand Xiaomi, there is a high chance that it will come with lower than expected cost, as noted by XDA Developers.
Apart from this, not much has been known about Xiaomi Blacskshark as of writing this. The Taiwanese manufacturer ASUS is also said to jump into the race as it is rumored to be preparing one gaming smartphone expected to launch later this year.
