Xiaomi Mi A3 (aka Mi 7X) Codename Found In Source Code!
Say what you want about Xiaomi, but they are definitely one of the well-known tech companies in the world. They offer smartphones with budget-friendly prices which makes them very popular in the tech world where high-end smartphones reach close to $1000.
For 2019, one of the highly anticipated Xiaomi phones this year is the Xiaomi Mi A3 (aka Mi 7X). So what new juicy details do we have about it? Well, XDA developer Franztesca discovered in the source code of the latest MIUI 10 firmware of Mi Mix 3 and Mi 8 hints on a smartphone with the codename “orchid_sprout”.
According to a report, the “_sprout” is part of the Android One program. The thing is, the Xiaomi Mi A1, Mi A2, and Mi A2 Lite featured the codenames “tissot_sprout”, “jasmine_sprout” and “daisy_sprout”.
So with the codename “orchid_sprout” found, it comes to no surprise that experts would speculate that this could most likely be the highly anticipated Xiaomi Mi A3.
So When Can We Expect It?
The speculated release date of the Xiaomi Mi A3 is still kept under wraps. At the moment, reports suggest that it could be released in the Q3 2019 which is from July to September.
And if we’re going to base it on the release dates of the previous models, the Mi A1 was launched in September 2017, while the Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite in July 2018.
How Much Will It Cost?
As we’ve mentioned earlier, Xioami smartphones come with budget-friendly price tags. For the Xiaomi Mi A3, it could be at $255 to $270 for the top model that comes with 6GB RAM, 64GB or 128GB storage, decent camera, Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 or further and the most importantly 2 years of Android Updates at a faster pace.
