Xiaomi India To Launch A New Flagship Dubbed As Pocophone F1 - Everything You Need To Know!
The new flagship phone from Xiaomi will make its way to the Indian market with the arrival of the company’s Pocophone F1. Even if the company didn’t provide full details about the phone, this didn’t stop some enthusiasts to get more information about the new handset. Here’s everything we know about the Xiaomi Pocophone F1.
Expected to hit the stores this 22nd of August, the new Pocophone will be one of the hard hitters in the market. Thanks to some retailers, people were able to get some sneak peek at what to expect on the new model.
Under the Hood
Under the hood, the Pocophone F1 features a Snapdragon 845 and will get 6GB of RAM and the system will be powered by a 4,000 mAh battery, which is adequate to the phone up and running for a day. The display sports a 5.99 inch IPS LCD screen with 1080 by 2246 resolution which is perfect for everyday use.
Perfect for everyday use is an understatement, Xiaomi Pocophone F1 packs with Adreno 630 GPU that will provide all-rounded performance. For mobile gaming enthusiasts, this will be a good phone for you since the setup will be more than enough to support modern games in the market such as Fortnite Mobile.
As we all know, Xiaomi is focusing on providing quality phones paired with a quality camera and the Pocophone F1 is not exempted. The new flagship gets a dual camera set up at the back that consists of a 12MP camera with a f/1.75 aperture and a secondary shooter that features a 5MP sensor. The camera setup also provides an ‘AI dual camera’ arrangement which most likely is an automatic system adjustment to provide an optimized image.
At the front, Pocophone F1 will get a 20MP camera that features a f/2.0 sensor that can produce stunning selfies. The front camera also supports face unlock similar to what we see on the iPhone X and other flagship phones out there.
The Xiaomi Pocophone F1 will run MIUI 9.6 which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo but will most likely get an update to MIUI 10 shortly after launch. It’s also not surprising if we see the new flagship to have an Android 9 Pie update since Xiaomi and Google have been working together in some projects from the Android One.
Xiaomi hasn’t provided any concrete details on how much the new Pocophone F1 will cost but Roland Quandt from WinFuture made a post on Twitter that mentioned the budget-friendly price tag of the new phone. He also explained that considering the price and the components inside the phone which features a Snapdragon 845 paired with a 5.99-inch display, it will be a sure bang for the consumer’s buck.
Xiaomi Pocophone F1 will seemingly be cheap as chips… listing in eastern Euroland for ~420 Euro (6/64GB) and ~460 Euro (6/128GB) (prices converted). If it really has an SDM845 that pricing would be really impressive for a device with a 5,99in 2160x1080px screen.
