The Daniel Bryan’s Showcase game mode made its comeback to WWE 2k19 and might be a start of a strong push to get the Showcase game mode back in the game moving forward. It’s been a while since we saw this game mode up in any WWE 2k title and it would be interesting to see who are the possible candidates for the next installment. Let’s take a look at the lists of WWE superstars that might make it in the next Showcase.

We saw the last WWE Showcase game mode back in WWE 2k16 which features the stunning story of the iconic Stone Cold Steve Austin. As we all know, Steve Austin is one of the powerhouses of the professional wrestling arena and is synonymous with WWE.

This year’s Showcase is more interesting and a lot enjoyable to play since the refreshed game mode features the struggles and the success of the new face of the franchise. Mostly playing with a handicap as an underdog, you’ll get to play Daniel Bryan as you make your way to the top and prove to the world that you are an undisputed wrestling champion.

The next question is, who will be featured next year as WWE 2k20 Showcase player? Let’s take a look at the strong contender for the spot.

Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar made a huge impact in the WWE when he was matched with some of the WWE superstars like The Rock, Goldberg and Kurt Angle. Equipped with his signature finishing the move, the F5, Brock Lesnar will definitely shake the WWE Showcase 2k20.

Kurt Angle

The Olympic gold medalist is also one of the best candidates for the next WWE 2k20 Showcase. The storyline could feature iconic matches and disagreements with fellow superstars like Steve Austin, Brock Lesnar, Shawn Michaels, Shane McMahon and Triple H.

Although Steve Austin was featured in the WWE Showcase back in 2016, Kurt Angle’s character didn’t get enough opportunity to get involved in the storyboard. To make up on this, game developers might feature him in his own Showcase game mode.

The Miz

He ascended to stardom in the WWE ring by means of the reality game show called Tough Enough last 2004. He showed toughness and hard work which earned him with a reputation of a household name in the WWE circle. It would be nice to see if he can land the WWE Showcase in 2k20 but let’s see how it goes.

The Shield

Having an opportunity to play a stable in WWE Showcase would be interesting. The Shield which includes Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose can bring out a three-in-one gameplay which will be a new frontier for the game mode. It less likely to happen but it would surprise us if WWE 2k features this, as the Shield also made impacts in the WWE ring.

Triple H

Triple H has its own fair share of appearances in the WWE 2k19 against Steve Austin. It would very nice to see the D-Generation X back in action and the group with Randy Orton and Batista in Evolution.

Chris Jericho and John Cena

Two of the most iconic wrestlers that walked the WWE ring. It would be a great show if WWE 2k20 Showcase uses the characters like Cena and Jericho in their next installment. After all, these two made a huge impact and got a lot of charisma to get it done.

There are a bunch of superstars that can make it to the lists like the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels, the electrifying Dwayne Johnson also known as The Rock and the legendary Hulk Hogan. Many fans are hoping that the WWE Showcase will be present in the future installments of the franchise and it would be fitting to see these icons making its way to the top of the WWE arena.
