WWDC 2019: iOS 13, MacOS 10.15, Mac Pro 2019, MacBook Pro 2019, And Many More
One of the events that many tech enthusiasts are looking forward to is the Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC 2019) which is Apple’s summer training and networking event for software developers. So what can we expect there?
But First… When Is WWDC 2019?
For the most part since 2005, WWDC has been held in the month of June. For this year, WWDC 2019 is scheduled from June 3 – 7 which is Monday to Friday.
So What Can We Expect There? Here Are The Most Likely Candidates
First on the list in the iOS 13 firmware of course. As for its rumored features:
- Dark Mode
- Live Photo update
- Redesign of the Home Screen
- A revamped for the Files app
- iPad tweaks
- New Mail features
- New Emojis
- cross-platform iOS and Mac apps
Second, on the list is the MacOS 10.15. Not much is known about it but at WWDC 2019, Apple will introduce more details about it.
Third, on the list is WatchOS 6. As for its rumored features, unfortunately, it’s also unknown. However, there are some requested features that fans would like to see such as:
- Always-on display
- Face ID
- Sleep tracking
- New Apple Watch apps.
- More randomized watch faces.
Fourth on the list is tvOS 13.
Lastly, is Apple’s new Multi-step Initiative “Marzipan“. As we noted in our previous article, the Cupertino-based company may release a new SDK (Software Development Kit) that allows developers to port their iPad apps over to Mac.
Now To The Hardware Side
Now that we’re done with the software, let’s proceed to the hardware. Before that, please do note that back in WWDC 2018, Apple’s focus was on software so there’s a chance that the company might do the same in WWDC 2019. With that being said, let’s proceed.
Top on the list is the long-awaited Mac Pro 2019. Although Apple has already confirmed that the new Mac Pro will be a 2019 product, its announcement and release date still remains a mystery.
Next is the 31.6-inch Apple 6K3K Display. Based on recent reports, this was made for the Mac Pro 2019 so it will most likely be announced alongside with it.
The third is the MacBook Pro 2019. If we’re going to base it on the 2017 version, it could be presented at WWDC. However, if we’re going to look at the 2019 version, Apple made a delayed or surprise release (depending on how you view it) in the month of July 2018.
Lastly, is the iMac Pro 2019. Back in WWDC 2017, Apple teased the iMac Pro so it wouldn’t come as a surprise if tech enthusiasts will expect that to happen at WWDC 2019.
