WWDC 2019 Dates Announced! Here's What To Expect Ahead Of The Event

4:24 PM

A few months from now will be the 2019 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). For this article, we will be talking about the dates and the other things expected to be presented at the event.

When Is WWDC 2019?

The WWDC is usually held in the month of June. However, it wasn’t always like this.

For WWDC 2019, it will begin on Monday, June 3 and will end on Friday, June 7. It will be held at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose.

What Can We Expect At The Event?

Looking back at WWDC 2018, it was heavily focused on software. But for this year, reports are suggesting that Apple will also introduce new hardware products.

On the software side, we have:

iOS 13 — For this firmware, we have already heard some of its rumored or expected features, including Dark Mode, update for Live photos, revamp for Files app, and new Mail features.

macOS 10.15 — Not much is known about this. All we know is that it will be presented at WWDC 2019.

tvOS and watch OS — Just like the macOS 10.15, the same can be said for these two which is not that much is known. All we know that these two will be presented as well.

Now let’s talk about the hardware side. For this part we have:

Mac Pro 2019 — Although Apple execs have confirmed that the new Mac Pro will be a 2019 product, the launch date still remains a mystery. At the moment, reports are suggesting that the Mac Pro 2019 will be introduced at WWDC 2019 but the release date is still unknown. Perhaps it will follow the release date of the currently available model which was released in December 2013?

Apple TV 6 — There have been talks that a new Apple TV will come as well at WWDC 2019. However, some say it will be in September.

MacBook Pro 2019 — This one here is a tricky one. Back in 2017, it debuted in June. Meanwhile, the 2018 model came out in July.
