Hollywood has been churning out horror flicks for a long time now, but if you notice carefully, their frequency has doubled over the years, especially of horror franchises. When we talk about some successful Hollywood horror franchises, one series that we can never forget is James Wan’s Conjuring which has been slowly building an MCU-style interconnected horror universe over the years.

After the worldwide success of The Nun in 2018, 2019 is set to witness the return of the sinister Victorian doll Annabelle in the form of the third installment from the Annabelle franchise. Warner Brothers have released a short teaser, which confirms the title of the most-awaited horror film. The short teaser features no footage from the film, but it does announce the official title which is Annabelle Comes Home. Annabelle 3 Comes Home is a sequel to Annabelle: Creation (2017) and, of course, the original film Annabelle (2014).

The flick is written and directed by director Gary Dauberman, who is making his directorial debut with the horror flick. He has previously written the first two films in the popular horror franchise based on a devil doll from The Conjuring cinematic universe. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga are set to reprise their roles as Ed and Lorraine Warren respectively from the Conjuring films. Mckenna Grace, Madison Iseman, and Katie Sarife join the cast to play supporting roles.

Annabelle Comes Home once again revolves around the possessed doll Annabelle, who is stored in the Warrens’ Artifacts Room. The Warrens believe the doll can do no harms from their Artifacts Room, but they are proved wrong when it sets evil sights on their 10-year-old daughter Judy (Mckenna Grace).

The much-awaited project has been bankrolled by James Wan under the banner of Atomic Monster alongside Peter Safran of The Safran Company. The movie is set to buzz into cinemas on June 28, 2019.
