Popular American satirical superhero television series The boys is all set to make a comeback this year with season 3. As the show gears up to launch its new seasons, rumors in the market state that the show might have a season 4. The series developed by Eric Kripke for Prime Video is based on the same name’s comic book. With a gripping storyline, the series intrigued the audience. The popularity of the show made it make a comeback this year. Here is everything about the new release.

The Boys Season 4: Release Date

The boys season 3 is officially happening. The new season is expected to be released this year. However, the exact date of release of season 3 has not yet been given out. Eric Kripke confirmed about happening of season 3 last year in a tweet. Expectations are that the new season would start production in early 2021. If this is true, then it would be out on the video streaming app by fall 2021. Apart from this, rumors have been doing rounds in the market about the possibility of a season 4. If the rumors are to be believed, season 4 would release 2022 or probably by 2023.

Season 2of the series wrapped with several strong storylines.  It showed the boys disbanded and their many crimes pardoned by the US government. Becca Butcher was killed accidentally by her superpowered son Ryan; Billy Butcher then reluctantly agrees for the kid’s safekeeping.  Becca was Butcher’s motivation, and with her dead, Butcher is now devasted. The rampage that Butcher goes on with would be shown in season 3 and season 4. The series first premiered on July 26, 2019. The series received much acclaim from the audience. The third season and a spinoff series have already been incepted into development. Season 4 would, as per sources, provide a glimpse of the spinoff series.

The cast for the series includes Karl Urband as William Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hugh Campbell, Antony Starr as John Homelander, Erin Moriarty as Annie. The other cast for the show includes Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford as Kevin Moskowitz, Tomiz, Tomer Capon as Serge, Karen Fukuhara as Kimiko Miyashiro, Nathan Mitchell as Black Noir, Elizabeth Shue as Madelyn Stillwell, and Aya Cash as Kiara Risinger. The cast for season 1 and 2 remained the same. Expectations are that the actors would continue reprising their roles.
