Amidst Christmas celebrations, the latest entertainment news about the popular Victoria series has gotten us very curious. So, here’s the spoiler alert– The Victoria star Jordan Waller has revealed something big about the hit ITV period drama. With no more guesswork, read through as the surprise unfolds.

The latest trailer has revealed that Jenna Coleman aka Queen Victoria is frantically searching for her husband Prince Albert (Tom Hughes), who meets with an accident while ice-skating on the lake. Owing to this incident, Jordan Waller, who plays the role of Lord Alfred Paget in the Victoria series, has something interesting to reveal.

During an interview with Express.co.uk, the actor said that Albert will take an unexpected tumble, claiming “I think he takes a little fall on the ice perhaps”. He also said, “There’s going to be at least one proposal in the Christmas special”. But did this really happen? Speaking to RadioTimes.com, the writer Daisy Goodwin has revealed the truth. He said, “People won’t believe it’s true. I was astonished when I first heard about it”.

A special synopsis of the tease read, “Set in Christmas 1846, the episode sees Victoria uncharacteristically melancholy as she prepares to tackle her first Christmas without her beloved Baroness Lehzen. Pregnant with her and Albert’s fourth child, the festive period reminds her of her lonely childhood spent at Kensington. Albert, on the other hand, is gripped by an obsession with staging the perfect family Christmas, transforming the palace into a magical festive wonderland”.

Will Jenna Coleman and Tom Hughes be back in the third series?

According to yet another latest entertainment news, Jenna Coleman and Tom Hughes will be seen reprising their respective roles as the young Queen and Prince Albert in the third series of the hit show, Victoria. Goodwin has promised more drama in the third series that will start in 1848. “Series three will start in 1848 which was a hugely dramatic and eventful time for both the royal family and Europe, with revolutions on the continent and uncertainty around the monarchy. Viewers can expect more drama than ever before in the third series”, Goodwin said.
