Samsung Galaxy J6 Prime 'SM-J610F' Spotted At The FFC Ahead Of Its Release
To all Samsung fans out there who have been waiting for the Samsung Galaxy J6 Prime, good news for you all because there are new details about the device. Apparently, this time around, its existence has been confirmed with an FCC certification.
According to a report, a smartphone bearing the model number SM-J610F which has been reported not long ago has been spotted at an FFC document, confirming its existence. The document reveals that it will be named as Galaxy J6 Prime when released.
So When Can We Expect It?
Regarding its release, it is still unknown when this smartphone will be released – as Samsung itself has yet to officially announce it. But we do know that its predecessor – Galaxy J6 – was announced and released back in May of 2018. With this, there are two possible releases.
First, we can also base it on the Galaxy J5 Prime which was announced in September of 2016. It was later then released in October the same year.
The second, assuming that it won’t be coming this year, we speculate that it could be launched in May of 2019. But we believed this is highly unlikely.
In terms of specs and features, the upcoming Galaxy J6 Prime is said to feature similar specifications of the Galaxy J6 except for a few things. For its chip, it is expected to be packed with a Snapdragon 450 processor. Meanwhile, for its camera, it will sport a dual-camera setup. It will also come with facial recognition and will be running on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
How Much Will It Cost?
Sadly, there aren’t any official announcements regarding its price tag. However, we can take a look at the prices of the previous models.
For the Galaxy J6, the launch price for the 3GB/32GB variant was Rs. 13,990 ($194). Meanwhile, its 4GB/64GB variant costs Rs. 16,490 ($229).
As for the Galaxy J5, its launch price starts in at Rs. 10,200 ($141). On the other hand, the Galaxy J5 Prime was Rs. 14,790 ($205).
We expect that the price tag for the Galaxy J6 Prime will be at around $50 more compared to the Galaxy J6. But hey, this is just is just a speculation so do to take it with a pinch of salt.
