Samsung Teases Foldable Galaxy F Phone (Again), Opens Largest Worldwide Store In India
Remember back when rumors first started circulating that Samsung is going to launch a foldable phone? Many were curious and excited. But after a few years of hints about the device, tech enthusiasts have gotten tired of it.
Let’s be honest, a person can only take so much. There should be a limit from all these teasings, right? So, what new details does the company have for us regarding its Galaxy F (previous known as Galaxy X) this time?
On other news, the South Korea-based company has opened its biggest store in the world in India. It seems like the South Korean tech company wants to take pole position in the world’s second-biggest smartphone market.
Everything Has A Meaning…
According to a report, President of the Mobile Communication Business at Samsung Electronics DongJin Koh said that it is “time to deliver” and revealed some interesting details about the Galaxy F when folded out. Although most of its features can be used during its foldable status, you will need to unfold the smartphone when you need to browse or see something.
He then asks two questions in a manner of hinting at something more interesting that will make people curious. The questions were:
“But even unfolded, what kind of benefit does that give compared to the tablet?”
“If the unfolded experience is the same as the tablet, why would they (consumers) buy it?”
After that, he then explains that every device, feature, and innovation should definitely have a meaningful message to the customer. So when people will finally get to see the long-awaited foldable smartphone, they will realize why it was created it this way.
So When Will It Be Released?
There was a rumor that Galaxy F will be unveiled this November to which news publishing site The Korea Herald claims that reporters may have misunderstood Koh’s remarks. Samsung also dismissed the rumor as false.
As of now, based on the reports, there is a Samsung device referred to as “Winner” which is scheduled to be released early next year. What’s interesting about this gadget is that its prototype will be built around November and will feature an in-folding structure, packing 3.5-inch OLED screens.
Ready To Take On The Indian Market
Samsung has just opened its largest mobile store in the store in India. It measures roughly around 33,000 square foot in the southern tech hub of Bengaluru.
It comes as no surprise that they chose India because the country itself holds the second-largest phone market in the world. In fact, senior vice-president at Samsung India Mohandeep Singh said that India is an extremely important market. They also plan to add more stores in the country’s top 10 cities to which he believes will help them further consolidate their shares.
