Rick And Morty, the adult animated science fiction adventure comedy series, has been winning millions of hearts ever since it kicked-off its maiden run in 2013. Not just youngsters, the older generation also finds it hard not to be a fan of the series. The third season of the Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon created series beamed its final episode on 1st October 2017, and diehard fans have been waiting for its next installment ever since.

Many people had thought that the makers would return with season 4 soon. However, it has been almost ten months since the last season concluded but there has been no official announcement as to when Rick And Morty Season 4 will hit the airwaves on Cartoon Network’s late-night programming block, Adult Swim.

While fans are confident that season 4 would make its entry into their lives sooner or later, no one exactly knows when the makers are going to roll out the next episodes. In May 2018, the makers had decided to work on an additional 70 episodes. The previous two installments of the series had 10 episodes each, which means if the creators split 70 episodes into seven new installments, the series is going to have 10 seasons in total.

In response to a query, the network states, “Adult Swim has made a long-term overall deal with the creators that will include 70 new episodes of the critically acclaimed series that follows a sociopathic genius scientist who drags his inherently timid grandson on insanely dangerous adventures across the universe.”

In his recent interview, when director Ryan Ridley was asked when the fans would be able to see the Rick And Morty Season 4, this is what he said: “I know how long this show takes to write, let alone animate,” he said, adding, “I’d be surprised if there was a fourth season on the air anytime sooner than 2019… late 2019.”

Though Ridley’s words are not an official announcement, we will have to accept the fact that Rick And Morty Season 4 is not going to tickle your funny bones anytime soon. Since the makers are going to take more than a year to come up with the next installment of the universe jumping cartoon series, we hope it turns out to be much better and funnier.
