The Chinese tech companies Xiaomi and OnePlus have been competing with each other as it both releases powerful yet budget-friendly smartphones. Today, the Redmi Note 5 Pro and OnePlus 5 will prove which of them should take the top spot.

Xiaomi has released its first handsets for this year, the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro. Focusing on the later, the said smartphone is fortified with new hardware and dual camera set-up.
When it comes to specs and features, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro sports a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with 2,160 x 1,080 screen resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio to keep up with the trend that became popular in 2017.
The recently released handset from the Chinese tech giant is engineered by the Snapdragon 636 processor that is paired with Adreno 509 GPU under its chassis. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro will arrive with only one internal storage option which is 64GB, and two RAM variants, 4GB and 6GB of RAM.
As for the camera department, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro sports dual 12MP + 5MP cameras. The 12MP sensor is equipped with 1.25μm pixel size and f/2.2 aperture, while the 5MP sensor is armed with 1.12μm pixel size and f/2.0 aperture. In the front portion of the device, one can find a 20MP Sony IMX376 sensor with LED Selﬁe-light and Beautify 4.0. It will be powered by a 4,000maH battery capacity.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is tagged at Rs. 13,999 for the 4GB RAM model and Rs. 16,999 for the 6GB options. It will be available in four different colors: Black, Lake Blue, Gold, and Rose Gold.
OnePlus 5 Specs, Features and Price
The OnePlus 5 smartphone was released way back in June 2017. This handset arrived featuring a 5.50-inch touchscreen display and it has a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels.
This smartphone from OnePlus is engineered by 1.9GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor that is paired with an enormous 6GB of RAM. The handset from the Chinese tech company houses a 64GB of internal storage that can’t be expanded anymore.
As for the camera department, the OnePlus 5 is equipped with a 20-megapixel primary camera positioned on the rear and a 16-megapixel front snapper that is good for selfies. This device is pre-installed with Android 7.1.1 and is powered by a 3300mAh non-detachable battery. The OnePlus 5 measures 154.20 x 74.10 x 7.25 in height x width x thickness and it weighs 153.00 grams.
The OnePlus 5 is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) phone and both are Nano-Sims. When it comes to the connectivity options, it has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, USB OTG, 3G and 4G having support for Band 40 utilized by some LTE networks in India. For the sensors, this gadget is armed with Compass Accelerometer, Magnetometer, Gyroscope, Proximity sensor, and Ambient light sensor. Price wise, the OnePlus 5 is tagged starting from Rs. 27,999 in India.
Redmi Note 5 Pro has the portrait mode for both rear and front camera while OnePlus 5 has this feature for the back camera only. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and OnePlus 5 both appear to be powerful but price plays a major factor while comparing smartphone. However, at the end, it is still up to the consumers which one suit them best.
