PS5 and Xbox Two Both To Launch In 2020, Wedbush Securities Claims
The fans of Sony and Microsoft are waiting for the announcement of its respective upcoming gaming console. Dubbed as PS5 and Xbox Two, these much-anticipated devices are believed to launch in 2020 according to Wedbush Securities.
PS5 and Xbox 2 Release Schedule
According to Value Walk, experts at Wedbush Securities believe that the PS5 and Xbox 2 will make their first appearance sometime in 2020. Even though recent speculations hinted that the PlayStation 5 would arrive this year, it might not be as accurate as the gaming industry mostly believes that the PS4’s successor will be launched sometime in 2020.
Aside from the beliefs of the industry experts, Sony itself has provided a hint that its next gaming console would arrive in 2020. Recently, Shawn Layden, who is the Chairman of Sony Worldwide Studios, stated that the Japanese-tech company will not unveil any hardware during its E3 2018 press event, as an alternative will concentrate completely on the games. This could basically mean that the company could tease its upcoming gaming console at E3 2019, followed by a release 12 months later.
With that being said, major consensus about the PS5 and Xbox Two release date appear to be developing around the year 2020. Nevertheless, the next question that ascends is when in 2020 can we expect the arrival of the new consoles. As for the PS5, the closest bet is in the fourth-quarter. Sony traditionally released all of its gaming consoles during the last quarter of the year.
PS5 and Xbox 2 Rumored Specs and Features
When it comes to rumored specs, the PS5 would confidently be made more powerful compared to the Xbox One X, which flaunts 6 teraflops. The said console might arrive with a more proficient and powerful CPU and more memory. It is also expected that Sony will incorporate some innovation to the PS5 controller. As of this moment, there’s no available information about what is the exciting addition could be, but Sony is undoubtedly known for refurbishing each controller. It can be recalled that it integrated the motion controls in the PS3 Sixaxis and controller speaker for the Dualshock 4.
On the other hand, there were talks suggesting that Microsoft is planning on a console that will assimilate game streaming. It is also expected that the Xbox 2 will have a huge overhaul compared to the current-generation gaming console. Moreover, it is also worth mentioning that the users will want Microsoft to further enhance the user interface, which can still feel fussy. The Redmond-based tech giant should work on delivering shortcuts to specific menus and a simpler way to navigate each segment as well.
Above all of these, the Xbox fans would certainly want Microsoft to obtain more big-name exclusives. It is really noticeable that Microsoft is way behind Sony when it comes to popular exclusives like The Last of Us Part 2, God of War, Death Stranding, Days Gone, Spider-Man, and a lot more.
