PS5 Will Initially Revealed In 2019 And Then Released In 2020
The PlayStation 5 (PS5) is no doubt an upcoming gaming console that’s highly anticipated by the gaming community which is why it comes to no surprise that people are always on the lookout for new details about it. This time around, there’s a rumor claiming that Sony’s next-gen hardware will have an initial reveal on mid-2019 and will be released in 2020.
To Be Released In 2020?
According to reports, a Reddit user who goes by the name RuthenCookie claims that Sony will make a brief, initial reveal for the PS5 in mid-2019 followed by a full-reveal with comprehensive demonstrations at PSX 2019 which will take place in either November or December.
As for the release, the Reddit user claims that the PS5 will be released in mid-2020. Furthermore, the console will feature a price tag of $500 USD.
Thinking about the release date, it doesn’t really come as a surprise. Although there have been rumors suggesting that the PS5 will be released in 2019, the most popular belief is that it is expected to be released in 2020, so it wasn’t really shocking.
But what’s probably really surprising is the “initial reveal” part.
Back in September, we quoted a report from T3 quoting a respected Japanese analytical firm named Ace Securities. The Japanese firm noted that the “PS5 will be introduced at the end of 2019”.
On our report, we pointed out the word “introduced”. Instead of using the word “release”, the firm used the word “introduced” which was really eye-catching and worth noting. Perhaps this is related to the rumor of RuthenCookie?
Late P4 Games? PS5 Games?
Aside from the reveal, release, and price, RuthenCookie also revealed that the last PlayStation 4 games will launch titles for the PlayStation 5. This also includes The Last of Us Part II, Ghost of Tsushima and the mysterious Death Stranding from the one and only Hideo Kojima.
