Google's Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL And A Rumored Third Pixel: Rumors And Expectations
Google Pixel 2’s campaign ends up with a huge success and with high praises coming from its consumers. With the incoming next generation Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL and a third variant of the line that is said to come before the end of the year, what can we expect from one of the best smartphones in the current market?
Because of high-end specs and attributes, Pixel 2 made such an impact on modern smartphone users. The cameras capture quality images with crisp details. Google has set the standards and many users are hyped about the next installment.
The tech giant hasn’t announced any details about the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL and they are keeping their mouths shut, not providing any official statements about the project. However, there are lots of rumors floating around suggesting HTC engineers are now working for Google for delivering their next line of smartphones.
Google uses code names named after fishes for hiding their future projects to the public. Code names such as ‘Albacore,’ ‘Blueline,’ and ‘Crosshatch’ have appeared around the community hinting about the new phones. These three projects are pointing to three new variants for the Pixel series.
Two of the phones are rumored to be released later this year that will feature high-end specs and top of the line designs. The third one might get its introduction at the earlier part of 2019 and rumored to be a budget-friendly class with a Snapdragon 710 processor.
A news concerning to Google Pixel 3 infers that it will come with an all-glass back panel with a two-tone finish similar to what we have in the current models. The lower portion shows that it would have a matte finish while the top section, where the fingerprint sensor is located, will have a polished look. This design might have something to do with the possibility of wireless charging being introduced to the line.
At the front, much like the current iPhones, the leaked images directs the use of a notch to make way for the front-facing camera. Dimension-wise, it shows a great resemblance to the Pixel 2 XL but with an almost not visible side bezel along with front-facing speakers.
The three premium Pixel 3 models are foreseen to have a Snapdragon 845 setup and suggesting that one of the models would run with 4GB of RAM. The top of the line model might feature 6GB of RAM with up to 256GB of internal storage.
The latest Pixel phones were introduced last October 4. Many are suggesting that Google will release the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL around the same timeframe. It would also make sense if the company launches their new phones at the same time as Apple. So we could say that Pixel may reach the stores as early as September up until later part of the year.
The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL is expected to be at around the same price range as what the current models have and their new addition of the third Pixel player that targets the mid-range class. With this move, Google will have a larger grip and can deliver the phone to a new target market.
