OnePlus 6T Has Some Limitations? Find Out More About It
Chinese-based smartphone maker OnePlus just introduced its second smartphone of this year at an event last Monday in New York. OnePlus 6T offers premium specifications at an affordable price of $529. Based on the reviews so far, there are some issues and disappointments about the latest handset. Let us find out more as you read through this article.
One of the major disappointments as many reviews pointed out is the absence of the standard 3.5-millimeter headphone jack. Some users made complaints about its removal in the device. The current OnePlus 6 comes with it. The missing notification LED should have been a useful feature to receive notifications from the daily communications. The company also disabled the always-on display feature due to battery concerns.
The in-display fingerprint scanner of OnePlus 6T caused some issues but not technically. It is just slow and inconsistent because it took too much time to unlock the handset even on the first attempt. Not only Vlad Savov of The Verge raised this issue but also XDA Developers Editor-in-Chief Mishaal Rahman. Rahman noted that the scanner on this handset is slower compared to the current OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 5, and this might be due to wet fingers.
There are also some limitations being indicated from some reviews. To unlock the handset using the fingerprint, the display must be on. You need to double tap the screen or lift the phone to turn it on. The single, bottom-firing speaker is quite loud and produces the clean sound.
The handset is similar to the current OnePlus 6 that has no wireless charging support even if the back of the handset is made of glass. Even though some users find the latest handset a little disappointing and expected more from the company, the users are still happy with the specifications and feature the handset offers.
