NVIDIA GeForce GTX 11 Series To Arrive Next Month Based On Leaked Email
The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1180 has been long rumored to make its first appearance in August. Now, it appears that the said speculation is confirmed as a leaked email revealed the NVIDIA GeForce 11 series’ release dates.
NVIDIA GeForce 11 Series Release Date
According to Wccftech, the said information about the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 11 series’ launch came from the YouTuber, under the username Gamer Meld. He purportedly received an email coming from an NVIDIA board partner, which reveals the GPUs’ launch. It is also worth noting that the said email mentions GeForce 11 series graphics cards and these are as follows:
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1180 (30th August Launch Date)
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1180+ (30th September Launch Date)
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1170 (30th September Launch Date)
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1160 (30th October Launch Date)
Other Details About The Leaked Email
Aside from these details about the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 11 series, the email also mentioned that there’s a press conference that will be held on 21st August. This will be a few days ahead of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1180 launch. The said press conference may be more of a board partner’s meeting instead of a full blown out presentation of the new GPUs. Also, NVIDIA will be holding a distinct event for gamers wherein it will announce the new NVIDIA GeForce 11 series cards. Two of the possible show dates can be the Gamescom or PAX West which are expected to be held at same timeframe as the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1180’s release.
In addition, the email also mentions the reason why these GPUs were postponed from launch for a long time. Seemingly, the gossip about the overstock of NVIDIA GPUs on vendors and partners end was real. Also, numerous board partners are still at the stage of transition.
Since there’s still a huge supply of unfinished GPUs and boards, one can expect that the previous generation’s price can receive a cut in the coming month as the launch of GeForce GTX 11 series cards are getting closer. Apart from that, NVIDIA fans can expect that the company will have a mass of next-gen GPUs to be shipped to the company’s partners so that they can be turned into GeForce boards for the gaming market’s demand.
Moreover, it is also worth emphasizing that the leaked email has mentioned an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1180+, which will be released just a month after the GTX 1180. As of now, it is not yet confirmed if this is a particular model or a custom board made by the partner in the said email. Tech enthusiasts believe that it could be the latter since NVIDIA doesn’t update their flagship GPU a month after its release. As far as the release dates are concerned, Lenovo also hinted the same launch date for GTX 1180 and GTX 1160; thus, there’s a likelihood that it’s true.
