New Snapdragon 855 Might Be Present In OnePlus 6T
OnePlus’ upcoming flagship phone might be the first smartphone that will have the new Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855. The chip maker still hasn’t announced the release of the 855 but rumors suggest that the OnePlus 6T will get the first-hand experience of the chipset’s new processing power.
The chipset would be the first of its kind with a unique build using 7nm FinFET with the X24 modem that can provide a download speed of up to 2Gbps. The previous version of the chipset from the Snapdragon line, the Snapdragon 845, features a second-generation 10nm chipset that was introduced December last year.
Due to the massive achievement and the warm welcome by the consumer to the OnePlus 6, there is a tremendous possibility that the company will leverage this for convincing Qualcomm for gearing up the new Snapdragon 855. However, there aren’t any concrete news regarding the claim.
This is only one of the rumors floating around the community regarding the OnePlus line. There are also reports asserting that the OnePlus 6T have an in-display fingerprint scanner along with a five-camera setup — Three at the back and two at the front.
Many are expecting that the OnePlus 6T or might be called OnePlus 7 will be released as early as the last part of the year up until midway 2019. This was based on the release pattern made by the company.
Aside from the news about the OnePlus, many are hoping that they will get other features available in other smartphones like wireless charging. If they can add new features to their upcoming models, it would mean a great success to the future of the smartphone maker. One thing that the company could work on would be the water resistance rating. The current OnePlus 6 seems to be a water-resistant but the phone lacks the IP certification that is also present in other flagship phones.
Consumers are looking forward to the next installment of the OnePlus phone and it would be a great thing if we see the famed-Snapdragon 855 in their newer models. The promising rise of OnePlus might be on the horizon and let’s see how things unfold in the coming months.
