With its impressive catalogue of series, Netflix has always proved that it has an eye for content that finds takers in all markets across the globe. With the launch of Sacred Games a couple of months ago, the streaming media giant succeeded in setting his foot in the Indian market as well after coming to India in 2016 as part of its global rollout. Before Sacred Games streamed on the platform, the Indian unit of Netflix had premiered a few movies like Love Per Square Foot, Lust Stories and Rajma Chawal, which also performed as per expectations. But what the Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Sacred Games did for the streamer is unbelievable and unparalleled. Buoyed up by the exhilarating response the series garnered from the national and international audience, Netflix immediately announced the second season of the series which is currently being shot in Mumbai.

The latest we hear that, apart from Sacred Games 2, Netflix is also gearing up to begin work on a new series. The new venture will be a youth-based series revolving around juvenile delinquency. Talking about the casting of the series, some reports mention that newcomer Neet Anand has been signed on to essay an important part in the series. ‘The series will bring an amalgam of crime and youth which has been an interesting and educative watch for television lovers in the past. Neet will play a part in the series,” a source close to the development reveals. It is yet not clear that which production house is producing this yet to be titled web-series for the streamer.

Aside from Sacred Games 2 and the Neet Anand starrer series, Netflix has also joined hands with superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s production house, Red Chillies Entertainment, to produce a few series, one of them being Bard Of Blood. Netflix’s next India original Selection Day is set to premiere on 28th December, 2018.
