Ever since making her silver screen debut with J.P. Dutta’s 2000 movie Refugee opposite Abhishek Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor Khan has toplined many films in her prolific career, which will soon clock two decades in Bollywood. But if we talk about that one initial character of her career which made her everybody’s favorite in no time, then it has to be ‘Poo’, the gorgeous, sassy girl from Karan Johar’s massive blockbuster Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001). K3G had bigger stars than Kareena, but even in the presence of Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, the Kapoor girl managed to leave an indelible mark with her impeccably written character of ‘Poo’.

Now after 18 years, Netflix has reportedly decided to bring back the popular character in a digital series. Yes, you heard that right! Buzz has it that the streaming media giant is planning to bankroll a series which will predominantly revolve around Kareena’s character of ‘Poo’ from the film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. Interestingly, the platform has approached none other than Kareena Kapoor Khan herself to reprise the role. She will be playing the popular role but this time as a 35-year-old.

“Kareena is in talks with Netflix and she has loved the script of a show which will feature her as a woman in her mid-30s. Her character has been inspired from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’s Poo which was loved by the audiences. Bebo is quite excited to return as a 35-year-old Poo with some new flavors of drama added to it,” a source close to the actress revealed to a premier entertainment magazine.

The untitled series will mark the debut of Kareena Kapoor Khan on a digital platform. Her husband Saif Ali Khan has already made his digital debut with Netflix’s Sacred Games. He is currently shooting for the second installment of the popular series.
