Microsoft's Latest Job Posting Hints At Surface Phone Launch
While there are several rumors surrounding the release of the much-awaited Surface phone, Microsoft, on the other hand, is making every effort to keep things under the wraps. Most importantly, the latest news about a job posting is making us even more curious about the new device.
According to Windows Latest, Microsoft is reportedly looking out for a Video System Engineer, who can work on the Surface phone‘s camera tech. The company has recently posted the job that reads,
“As video systems architect, you will own delivery of camera imaging systems at a product level and contribute to our technology roadmap for the future. You will work closely with internal and external camera system partners to deliver HW and SW components and technologies to enhance the imaging experience for Surface products”.
The candidate is required to”work on a broader multi-function product development team and work for cross group with internal imaging platform and software teams, camera app, and communication (Skype) applications teams, and SOC ISP teams to deliver imaging experiences that meet business requirements in terms of performance and cost for Surface products”.
Microsoft is looking for the perfect video architect engineering candidate, who is an electrical engineer and has formal training and experience in image processing. The person needs to have good knowledge of CMOS image sensors as well as imaging software stack for SoC platforms. This job posting and previous confirmation by Microsoft China‘s engineer gives clear hint that Surface Phone is the works and may get unveiled anytime soon.
Microsoft Surface Phone To Release By June 2018?
