MacBook Pro To Receive A Refresh During WWDC 2018
The Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) 2018 is just a few days away and numerous speculations about the products that will launch during the event. Recently, a rumor has surfaced stating that the 13-inch MacBook Pro might receive a refresh in Apple’s upcoming event.
According to SlashGear, the current MacBook Pro is available in three basic variants. The range starts with a 13-inch MacBook Pro featuring a physical function key row. It is followed by a 13-inch version that has a Touch Bar and Apple’s OLED touchscreen strip. Lastly, there’s the 15-inch MacBook Pro, models of which only exist featuring a Touch Bar.
It worth emphasizing that the entry-level 13-inch MacBook Pro 2018 is the one prompted with new refresh rumor. At this time, it’s listed as shipping on June 6, which is two days after WWDC starts. The other configurations still exist for instantaneous shipping, even though that may change in the week between now and the WWDC 2018.
The WWDC is characteristically positioned as a software event and not a hardware one, and as such gadget releases are generally rare. Nevertheless, with the more uttered turmoil about the current MacBook Pro, it’s not hard to suppose that Apple will use its coder-focused event to launch an updated version that could address some of the MacBook Pro owner’s complaints.
Aside from that, there were also talks about a new Apple notebook which could make an appearance in the WWDC 2018. That’s an alleged 13-inch MacBook 2018, which will replace the current 13-inch MacBook Air. One probability is that Apple could not only get rid of the old Air but the non-Touch Bar MacBook Pro as well by substituting them both with this upcoming 13-inch MacBook with Retina display.
As of now, nothing about the alleged upcoming MacBook Pro 2018 is certain and we must have to wait until WWDC 2018 to confirm. For the meantime, it’s possibly worth holding off if you were planning to purchase a new MacBook Pro. Stay tuned for further announcements!
