The tech giant Apple’s October event is just a few hours away, and one of the most highly anticipated product updates will be the Mac Mini 2018 or Mac Mini 2. This device has not gotten a major update in over four years. Many reports kept on surfacing online on what could be the look of the refreshed model.

According to 9to5mac, a concept image just surfaced online showing off the possible look of the Mac Mini 2018. This came from a designer Viktor Kádár in collaboration with the blog iMagazin. He created some of the upgrades that the company could unveil and the fans might see on the new device. His concept is called Mac mini Pro, which is a standalone desktop all dressed up in space gray with a refreshed I/O around back.

In the concept, some new ports are around the back of the Mac Mini 2 including four Thunderbolt 3 or USB-C ports and two USB-A ports instead of the current four found on the most recent 2014 model. There are also the usual HDMI, SD card reader, and Ethernet jack. These changes are updates from the current model with four USB 3.0 ports and Thunderbolt 2 ports.

Kádár also envisioned a new wireless space gray Magic Keyboard with the additional Touch Bar and Touch ID. This keyboard does not have the numeric keypad. As of now, the company currently offers the wireless version with the numeric keypad.

This concept ties up with the new thin-bezel Apple display. The company has already announced that this display will be offered in the future and may be compatible with the revamped device possibly aiming at professional users. However, its launch will unlikely be this October event or until the new Mac Pro will come next year.

So, what are your thoughts about all the concept images of the Mac Mini 2018 or Mac Mini 2? Share them by writing in the comment section below.
