LG is set to launch their new generation flagship this fall and the phone might feature the very first setup that uses both super wide angle lens and super telephoto lens. The LG V40 ThinQ gets five-camera configuration which includes three rear-facing cameras and two at the front.

The rear panel is expected to have 20-megapixel main shooter together with 16MP wide-angle camera and 13MP telephoto camera. The front-facing cameras feature a dual camera setup that gives the smartphone a 3D face scanning feature that works similar to the iPhone X’s FaceID and other flagship phones like the Mi 8 from Xiaomi.

Last year, its predecessor, the LG V30, was introduced at the IFA 2017 last August. However, this year seems to be different. News surfacing suggests that the new flagship will be unveiled later this year and the company might skip the IFA 2018 event.

The new addition to the company’s V-series phone still continues. The new LG V40 ThinQ directly follows the V30S ThinQ, the G7 ThinQ and the LG V35 ThinQ which was released earlier this year.

The last V-series phone was priced at around $900 and it is safe to bet that the new LG V40 ThinQ will be tagged around the same price but probably a little bit higher. But for now, there is no official announcement yet from the company about the exact pricing.

A large screen-to-body ratio is present in the V40 ThinQ along with a smaller bezel than the previous models. Similar to the LG G7, it is expected to have a notch for the front-facing cameras but this can be hidden using a setting present in the phone’s system. The new phone will also get a dedicated button for Google Assistant located right beside the volume rocker.

For now, there are few concrete proofs of the specs listed for LGV40. However, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 chipset is expected to run under the hood of the new flagship along with 6GB of RAM similar to the V35.

The phone will also have IP68 water and dust resistant certification just like its predecessor, the V35. Like the other new flagships in the market today, the LG V40 ThinQ will also get wireless charging capability.
