The iPhone X2 and the other 2018 models of the Apple smartphone may be the most exciting set of iPhones yet. This was after reports that it will finally have Apple Pencil support.

Apple Pencil compatibility with iPhone X2?

It is possible that a smaller Apple Pencil will be made available for the 2018 iPhones, according to 9 to 5 Mac. This will serve as an accessory that will make navigating through the screens of the upcoming iPhone 9 and other models much easier than ever.

Currently, the stylus only works on select iPad models. The fact that a vast majority of iPhone users are interested in the use of a stylus with their smartphone device is a good thing for Apple. This can definitely help them hype up their next set of iPhones after last year’s disappointing sales.

There is, however, a catch. It is said that the Apple Pencil will not be sold as a built-in or in-package accessory for iPhone 9 and the other models. This means that interested buyers still have to purchase the stylus separately. The stylus is not exactly the most affordable accessory out there, with current iPad versions priced in the three-digit range.

This is not the first time that the integration of Apple’s stylus product has been rumored. There were already reports of Apple working on its integration into its smartphone product family for years.

2018 iPhones on September 12?

In related news, there are credible reports that indicate that Apple will be unveiling the 2018 iPhones on Wednesday, September. There will be three new iPhone models that feature pretty much the same aesthetic as last year’s iPhone X, according to Express.

Do you think the latest iPhone X2 should have Apple Pencil support? Will it be able to make a dent in Samsung’s strong showing with its sales? Let us know below in the comments.
