iPhone SE2 To Arrive In September As It Missed WWDC 2018 Keynote
The Worldwide Developer’s Conference (WWDC) 2018 has started yesterday and the Apple fans don’t hear anything about the iPhone SE2. Now, tech enthusiasts think that KGI Securities Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo’s guess could be right since there’s a possibility that the iPhone SE successor makes its first appearance in September.
iPhone SE 2 Release Date and Availability
It can be recalled that the iPhone SE2 is rumored to be released during May but it didn’t materialize. After that speculation, many thought that the budget-friendly iPhone will be unveiled during the WWDC 2018 but the fans only got disappointed again as the Cupertino0based tech giant hasn’t revealed any iPhone SE successor.
In that case, many tech enthusiasts now believe that the iPhone SE2 may not arrive until September if Kuo’s guess is correct. Kuo believes that together with iPhone X updates and a larger version of that full-screen iPhone featuring an OLED screen, Apple will release cheaper full-screen iPhone having a 6.1in LCD screen. This is speculated to be the successor to the iPhone SE.
When it comes to availability, it was believed that the iPhone SE 2 will not be available everywhere. As a matter of fact, a Chinese-language site has revealed that Apple is working on a low-end iPhone that’s codenamed Hangzhou. This low-end and at the same time lower-priced model will apparently be released in an effort to “seize the low-end market” in China and India.
iPhone SE 2 Design
There were numerous rumors regarding the iPhone SE 2 design. One of which is that it will have the same design to the current iPhone SE but it will sport a larger 4.2-inch display. It is also believed to preserve the classic iPhone shape and the front Home button to have support for fingerprint recognition. Some talks reveal that the headphone port will disappear.
As for the color variety, the iPhone SE2 or iPhone X SE is believed to be offered in silver, gold, and Space Grey, which are similar to the iPhone 8. Additionally, the Rose Gold and gold version fused in the iPhone 8 and it’s possible that the new iPhone SE will also have this new metallic gold color option instead of two gold options.
Another prospect is that if Apple is working on a wide-ranging redesign of the handset, there’s a possibility that it may feature a glass back. This will make this smartphone capable of wireless charging, a feature that was introduced with the iPhone 8 and iPhone X. This could also mean that the new iPhone SE2 will look similar to the all-glass iPhone 4.
There are ideas that the iPhone SE successor could have an all-screen design, similar to the iPhone X. in fact, many publications and analysts are denoting it as the iPhone X SE. Nonetheless, while this is something that might possibly appear in the future.
