iPhone SE 2 and iPhone X Plus Price, Release Date, Leaks Detailed
Apple fans are eagerly waiting for an updated version of its budget phone i.e. iPhone SE 2 and the new iPhone X Plus. The rumors regarding both are churning in the rumor mill. However, reports are claiming that the Apple is working on three iPhones, which are going to launch this year. All the upcoming iPhones are rumored to come featuring X-style design and the Face ID unlock method.
According to the DigiTimes, from the three new flagship iPhones one will come with a 5.7 to 5.8-inch LCD screen, while the other will have a 6.0 to 6.1-inch LCD screen, and the third is said to boast 6.4 to 6.5-inch OLED screen. The OLED technology is reportedly better than the current liquid crystal displays in terms of battery usage, vibrant colors, contrast and a crisper presentation on the screen. This will reportedly cost Apple twice as much to use OLED rather than the previous displays.
The 5.7 to 5.8-inch iPhone with LCD is said to be iPhone SE 2. Since it is reported to come with LCD display, it might be cheaper than the iPhone X Plus but essentially it will be expensive than the predecessor considering the other features and specs.
The rumor about the large 6.5-inch iPhone has been originally reported by Bloomberg. The large iPhone is said to be the iPhone X Plus and it is coming in gold. Meanwhile, the design of the upcoming iPhone SE 2 and iPhone X Plus is expected to get a stainless steel frame around the edges with the aim to improve data transmission speeds and stability.
In the upcoming iPhone SE 2 and iPhone X Plus, minor camera upgrades are possible. There is also a rumor which claims that addition of a third lens to the rear camera on the most expensive iPhone. Since Samsung has added a dual-aperture system to its Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus, so it is possible that Apple might try some same lens trickery for upcoming iPhones. Once MicroLED screens were also rumored for 2018 iPhones but the technology is far from ready to use on the phones and could take almost five years once introduced to replace OLED.
Regarding pricing, reports are surfacing on the internet claims that the upcoming iPhone X Plus won’t reduce the price at all, to support new specifications and features like OLED technology and bigger screen size. The expected price tag for iPhone X Plus could be “an entry-level price of $1400.” On the other hand, the upcoming iPhone SE 2 will also not be that cheap. The successor of iPhone SE is said to come with a starting price that ranges from $700 to $800.
Apple is rumored to unveil the much awaited iPhone SE 2 during its World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) this year. Other two iPhones including iPhone X Plus will get unveiled in September 2018. This is in the line with Apple’s usual habit of releasing a new flagship iPhone every September.
