Everything We Know About Apple’s Rumoured October Event
The tech giant Apple just introduced their two new flagship smartphones iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max as well as Apple Watch Series 4 on September 12. Many reports suggest that the company has yet to announce iPad Pro 3, MacBook Air 2018, Mac Mini 2, iMac 2018 and other hardware during an October event.
According to MacRumors, the company has hosted an October event in six of the past eight years except 2015 and 2017. Five out of six October events have paid particular attention to the Mac, iPad, or both.
The company only unveiled the current iPhone 4S with Siri support on the October 4, 2011 event. This event is made reference to the delayed release of an iPhone because the company was not capable to host a September event in 2011.
Any potential event would possibly take place this year in the latter half of the month. The rival tech company Google is already set to host an upcoming “Made by Google” event next Tuesday, October 9 in New York City. The said event is expected to introduce its Pixel 3 smartphones such as Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. These upcoming devices will be competing with the recently released trio of iPhones – iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR.
Apple will likely set the possible dates on October 16 or 23 (Tuesday), October 17 or 24 (Wednesday), or October 18 or 25 (Thursday) for the upcoming event. This is because the company usually host those days and would be not in close proximity to Google’s event.
We will know once the company will send invites to the media typically seven or eight days beforehand. So, these invites are expected to be out as early as next Tuesday. Meanwhile, the products expected to be announced will be the redesigned iPad Pro 2018 models including iPad Pro 3 with built-in Face ID and thin display bezels. The entry-level MacBook or MacBook Air 2018 and the refreshed iMac and Mac Mini 2018 models will also be introduced.
