Here's What To Expect On The Upcoming Apple Event: iPhones, iPad Pro 3 and More
Two days from now it will finally be September. Two weeks later will be Apple’s highly anticipated unveiling event for the 2018 iPhones. Aside from those mentioned devices, there will be other devices as well that is expected to come.
So what are these devices highly expected to pop-up next month? Well, let’s review them.
The 2018 iPhones
Although Apple hasn’t yet sent a press invite for the iPhone launch event, it is widely believed that the unveiling event for the three iPhone models (6.5-inch OLED, 5.8-inch OLED, and 6.1-inch LCD) will be on September 12, 2018, followed by the pre-orders on the 14th. A week after that, customers will finally receive it.
As for some of its expected specs and features, these said devices are expected to sport a display notch and Face ID technology. In addition to that, they might ditch 3D touch.
But for those wanting to purchase the 6.1-inch version, you may have to wait until October. Why? Well, last month, a report was made claiming that there’s been a technical issue which is causing a delay.
The iPad Pro 3
The Cupertino company has already released its 2018 9.7-inch iPad last March. So it comes to no surprise that was expecting the ‘Pro’ version to come as well. In fact, back in early July, regulatory filings were spotted claiming that five new iPad models are in the works and are scheduled to be released this September.
According to reports, there will be two variants: a 10.5/11-inch (depending on which rumor you choose to believe) and a 12.9-inch. It is rumored to feature a design similar to the iPhone X, Face ID, AvatarKit in iOS 12, and an A11X Bionic chip.
The Apple Watch Series 4
The Cupertino-based company filed six new product model numbers (A1977, A1978, A1975, A1976, A2007 and A2008) with the Eurasian Economic Commission. They will differ in configurations like LTE and non-LTE compatibility or the materials used. Also, just recently, it was reported that these devices will feature a bigger screen and be compatible with old bands.
The wireless charging mat was announced last September and was originally expected to come in early 2018 (presumably in March). When that didn’t happen, people started pointing towards June at the WWDC event which also didn’t come. It was then later revealed that it was delayed for some technical reasons.
Right now, all expectations are in September. But whether it will appear or not, only time will tell.
