The tech giant Apple is reportedly working on a new iteration of the upcoming iPad Mini lineup. It has been nearly four years ever since the previous version of the device was launched in 2015. A report last week indicated that the new iPad Mini 5 or iPad Pro Mini will be introduced in early 2019. The said device will have updated internals and an affordable entry point to the iPads.

According to 91mobiles, a photograph from Slashleaks was shared on Twitter and is reported to be the case of an iPad Mini 5 or iPad Pro Mini or whatever the company names the iPad Mini 4 successor. This provides a brief idea as to what the upcoming device might look like. If this case turns out to be true, then the inclusion of a 3.5millimeter audio port and the Apple smart connector makes this device interesting.

The highly anticipated device is expected to be a compact, affordable and ultra-portable product. It will be compatible with the Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard. It will be appealing to consumer groups because of the possible 3.5mm headphone jack in the top right corner or top left when facing the front of an iPad Mini. This portable, ultra-mobile tablet could replace heavy laptops. The dedicated keyboard could double up the upcoming device as an entertainment machine as well.

The camera of iPad Mini  5/ iPad Mini Pro will be rearranged vertically with a flash module.  This oblong shaped camera cutout matches up with the new camera configuration. This means that a flash will be along with its camera. The microphone at the back is moved to the center of the device. Then, the company’s first-generation smart connector could be in the middle of the device on the edge.  Multiple reports speculated that the upcoming device will come in closer to the $300 mark.

So, what do you think about the first look of the upcoming iPad Mini 5 or iPad Pro Mini? Share your thoughts and reactions by writing in the comment section below.
