WWDC 2018: A List Of Things Likely To Appear At This Year's Worldwide Developers Conference
As we all know now, Apple unveiled their new iPad in the recently concluded educational event held in Chicago. Unfortunately, that was all we were provided with during the function. Announcements about other Apple products set for a release this year were simply kept under the radar.
However, there’s still hope for developments and other products to see an outing not long from now with the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2018 just around the corner. In line with this, we bring you a list of products and announcements you can expect to debut in the biggest Apple event scheduled to begin on June 4.
Traditionally, the software has been the main focus of every developer’s conference Apple has ever organized. Judging by this, we think that the primary takeaway we can now confirm to appear in the event is the new firmware iOS 12.
In this new installment, Apple has been said to be laying down fewer new features and design revisions in favor of performance bumps, security, and overall device stability. Aside from this, the Cupertino-based tech giant has also been rumored to improve on its augmented reality (AR) feature, which will come integrated into the new operating system, iOS 12.
iPhone SE 2
iPhone SE2 has also been speculated to appear during the WWDC 2018, which is spearheaded by the second generation of the iPhone SE that is the cheaper variant of the iPhone lineup. According to reports, the new handset will come with a bezel-less screen display devoid of the home button, adhering more closely to the iPhone X.
Aside from this, the iPhone SE 2 will also have a notch and Apple’s newest FaceID feature. However, true to its original version, the phone will retain its squared edges and an earlier Apple processor, which will keep the device’s value at a lower price point.
New MacBook Air
Another product which will allegedly make an appearance in the function is a new MacBook laptop. Reports say that this new laptop will refresh Apple’s notebook roster, queuing in a new and more advanced generation.
In terms of hardware, many believe that the new MacBook Air will have a 13-inch retina display. Aside from this, specifications are also set to be updated in the new model seeing as past versions were still on Intel Core i5 and i7.
iPad Pro 3
Apple’s March event wasn’t the end of the iPad lineup. According to recent speculations, Apple is planning to unveil a new iPad Pro in WWDC 2018. In line with recent updates, the iPad Pro 3 will come with a bigger screen and narrower bezels. On top of this, the tablet is also said to drop with the new FaceID integrated, which Apple plans to make a standard feature in all of their new handheld products.
Although it’s not impossible for these new gadgets to appear in WWDC 2018, we still advise readers & fans to wait and turn to Apple for confirmations.
