Exploit That Works Up To iOS 11.4.1 Currently In The Works
According to a report, well-known hacker and developer tihmstar has taken to the world of social media to announce that he is working on an exploit for iOS firmware up to 11.4.1. With his announcements, so far it has received a positive response from the jailbreak community, accumulating around at least 500 likes.
Earlier this week, tihmstar announced that he is currently working on an exploit that works up to iOS 11.4.1 firmware and that it already has kernel read. However, he did say that he isn’t sure if he can be bothered to find offsets for anything but iPhone6,2/11.2.6 or make the exploit work on phones without a headphone jack.
btw exploit is in the works, which can work up to 11.4.1
already got kernel read 😉
dunno if i can be bothered to find offsets for anything but iPhone6,2/11.2.6 though, or make the exploit work on phones without headphone jack ¯_(ツ)_/¯

A few days later, tihmstar made another announcement. He was successful in getting the kernel base and that the exploit relies on a headphone jack.

thimstar’s Past Achievements
The well-known hacker and developer has made a number of contributions to the jailbreak community. Just to name a few:
Back in September of 2017, thimstar released an untethered 32-bit jailbreak for iOS 8.4.1.
On December of the same year, tihmstar released JailbreakMe 4.0. The jailbreak tool works on 32-bit iOS 9.1 to 9.3.4 devices.
On August 2018, he released a jailbreak tool – jelbrekTime. It supports all Series 3 Apple Watches running watchOS 4.1. Moreover, the developer also noted that compatibility with older Apple Watches and watchOS 4.0 & 3.x is possible, but it requires the expertise of a skilled developer.
