A lot of iOS device owners who wanted to jailbreak their handsets might be disheartened with the previous news that Apple already closed the signing for iOS 11.2.5. Luckily recent reports suggest that they can still downgrade to iOS 11.2.2 as the Cupertino-based company faces some malfunction.

Redmond Pie has learned that Apple is still signing iOS 11.2.2. This may be a good thing for those who upgraded their handsets to iOS 11.2.5 but wanted to downgrade to possible jailbreak availability.

For those who aren’t known yet about the jailbreak scene and who wanted to become part of the jailbreak community, here are the details they have to know. Apple rolled out a new version of firmware which reinforces any known susceptibilities in formerly released versions. Somebody who has technical knowledge of those bugs then inscribes about them. Afterwards, the jailbreak and research community kicks into action to attempt and release something.

With that being said, the device owners struggle to downgrade to that affected version of iOS while Apple is still validating it digitally and letting the downgrade to happen. To prevent that from happening, the Cupertino-based company closes the signing window for iOS 11.2.2 almost instantly. This is possibly because of the threat of a jailbreak being released by Zimperium zLabs Team vulnerabilities which are set to be made publicly available soon.

With the closing of iOS 11.2.2 signing window, Apple can’t stop a jailbreak from being released into the public. But then, it can only prevent as many people as possible from essentially getting back from iOS 11.2.5 to a version with jailbreak tool.

Recently, the Cupertino-based tech company has tried to spoil potential jailbreakers. But then, it doesn’t look to have gotten it completely right as testing has revealed that people can essentially downgrade from iOS 11.2.5 to iOS 11.2.2 if they have a little determination and diligence.

For those who succeed in downgrading their handsets from iOS 11.2.5 to iOS 11.2.2 all they have to do is to wait for that version’s jailbreak tool. Stay tuned as we’ll keep you updated!
