Users can not go back to iOS 10 if they’re unhappy with iOS 11 glitches and features. Nonetheless, if the users wanted to downgrade from iOS 11.2 to iOS 11.1.2, they can still do it without sacrificing their files and data. In fact, this could be a good thing since there is still no available jailbreak tool for iOS 11.2.

Why Should Users Stay Within iOS 11 -11.1.2?

Users might be asking why a lot of tech pundits would suggest them to stay within the bounds of iOS 11 – 11.1.2. The reason behind this is that if they will update further utilizing iTunes or over-the-air update, then they wouldn’t have the chance to obtain the latest supported jailbreak version. Just in case they updated to iOS 11.2.2, they will get stuck on that level until a possible jailbreak tool will be released.

Nonetheless, we have previously reported that the Alibaba Pandora Labs is working on the iOS 11.2.2 jailbreak tool. Unluckily, if the jailbreak team was able to come up with the tool it wouldn’t be released publicly.

How To Downgrade from iOS 11.2.2 to iOS 11.1.2?

If users wish to downgrade, they are lucky because GottaBeMobile has detailed the step by step process. Here are they:

Step 1: Back-up the files on the iOS device.

Step2: Download the iOS 11.1.1 or iOS 11.1.2 OS upgrade for your iPhone or iPad. Users will have to plug their handset to the computer to downgrade and they will need to download the file to their PC to install it on their iOS device.

Step 3: Head to this website and download iOS 11.1.1 or iOS 11.1.2 for their specific iPhone or iPad model. Users have to be sure that the row is still green. If it is not green, they can no longer downgrade and they should stop.

Step 4: Turn off Find My iPhone on the iPhone. To do this step, head to Settings -> tap on your name at the top of settings -> Tap on iCloud -> Tap on Find My iPhone -> Toggle off. When prompted, users will have to enter their password.

At this phase, the iOS device is already backed up and the handset is connected to the computer and the iOS 11.1.2 ipsw file on the PC, here are the next process do:

Step 1: Open iTunes.

Step 2: Tick on the iPhone in the iTunes menu.

Step 3: Tap the Restore iPhone button utilizing a special click. When using Mac, hold alt/option when users tick and on PC hold Shift when clicking.

Step 4: In the window that opens, look for the iOS 11 file, tick on it and then tap to open.

Step 5: When prompted, select to erase and restore the iOS device. Click Restore to start this procedure.

Step 6: Over the next 15 to 30 minutes the iOS handset will restart multiple times and then when it is finished users will be back on iOS 11.1.2 or whatever version they’re downgrading to. From here they can bring back from an iCloud or iTunes backup and startup or they can start fresh.
