Intel 9th-Gen Coffee Lake S: Release Of New Processors Coming? Fake Pre-order Starts?
The Intel 9th-Gen Coffee Lake S processor chips may become available sooner than we previously thought. This was after pre-order links have become available for several European retailers.
Intel 9th-Gen Coffee Lake S pre-order links go live
Both the Intel Core i9-9900K and i7-9700K made an appearance on the websites of a few European retailers, according to Tech Radar. This strengthens speculations that the processors will be available for shipping as early as next month.
While some of the retailers have already taken down the listing of the new Intel processors, there are reports that the retailers will receive the stocks of these new chips by Friday, September 7. This largely lines up with a leaked Intel roadmap that has been reported by several media outlets last month.
For example, renowned Netherlands-based online retailer Dutch Computer Center has listed the Intel Core i9-9900K at €561 (USD 655). This could be a placeholder label but it is around the price tag expected by many experts.
Fake pre-order announcement
There is also a possibility that the pre-order announcement is fake, according to Notebook Check. It specifically points to the product listing by online seller CentralPoint, which unveiled the price to be at €689 (USD 805). That amount does not include the VAT amount yet, which makes the selling price too high even for a processor chip model on its launch.
Intel has not made any confirmation with regards to the release date of their next set of processors. As of right now, the strongest candidate for the release date of the Intel Core i9-9900K is Monday, October 1. It is rumored that the i5, i7 and i9 Coffee Lake S chips will be released on the said date.
When do you think will the Intel 9th-Gen Coffee Lake S be released? Will this mean that the new processor chips will already be available for the latest laptops? Throw in a post in the comments section below.
