Huawei Mate 20 Pro To Release Separately At IFA 2018? Latest Specs More Detailed
The Chinese-based tech company Huawei could be scheduled an event at the Internationale Funkausstellung (IFA) 2018 in Berlin on August 31. This date will likely be the announcement of the company’s next flagship Huawei Mate 20 Pro.
According to Mighty Gadget, the IFA 2018 event will start next week, specifically from August 31 to September 5. Previous reports suggest that the upcoming device will be launched alongside the Mate 20. This will unlikely happen because the Mate 10 was unveiled last year a month after at an event in Munich.
In terms of specification, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro would feature near bezel-less design and curved edges with wide color options to choose from. A huge 6.9-inch AMOLED high-definition+ display would have an aspect ratio of 18:9. The stylish water drop notch would have the front selfie camera. Other high-end features include a fingerprint scanner under the screen and facial recognition technology.
In the photography department, the triple-lens camera is highly anticipated to be located at the back of the upcoming device. These cameras are expected to be grouped in a square-shaped arrangement along with the flash. This device will also include IP-rated dust and water protection as well as the wireless charging.
An all-new 7nm Kirin 980 chipset will power this Mate 20 Pro with an octa-core central processing unit (CPU). This could be clocked at the speeds of 2.8GHz. The speculated onboard storage is at least 128GB that can be expanded using the built-in microSD card slot with 6GB of RAM, it not 8GB.
When it comes to cost, the upcoming device could start as low as £555 as recent Weibo post claimed. Other reports suggest that the price could be as high as £799. Last year, the predecessor Mate 10 Pro has a starting price of £699. Its main rival is the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 with a whopping price of £1,100. So, it is no wonder that the company might start in between those prices.
