In partnership with Warner Bros., a Los Angeles-based mobile games studio Jam City had promised last January to launch the Harry Potter mobile game under a new label, Portkey Games. However, the good news is that Avid fans can now play “Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery” with the beta program before the game is officially launched.

According to Phone Arena, Jam City has recently released a video showcasing the real-time reactions to Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery game from Harry Potter fans. The game gives them a chance to take on the role of being a young Hogwarts student. They will learn how to use those powerful spells similar to how they do in the films rather than the books.

Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is most definitely story-driven and takes place in 1985 entering the first year at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The magic and adventures of the Wizarding World from J.K. Rowling are its sources of inspiration to create a magical experience. Among the confirmed characters are Bill Weasley, Rubeus Hagrid, Penny Haywood, Charlie Weasley, Nymphadora Tonks, Rowan Khanna, Roland Hooch, and Headmaster Dumbledore, as well as Professors Flitwick, Snape, Sprout, and McGonagall.

Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery game will be available for free but with in-app purchases that range up to $99.99. So far, only Android users can only play the beta version. Just keep in mind that the game is still in development (beta) meaning only a few regions can access it and download from the Play Store. If you no longer want to join the beta program because of few missing or unfinished features, just click the same beta link and navigate to the “leave the program” text seen at the bottom of the page.

However, if you don’t like playing an unfinished game and beta testing, pre-registration is already open on the game’s page to learn once the game goes live on either Android or iOS platform. Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is already slated for an official release later this spring. There might be more than just one Harry Potter games coming in the future depending on how good the first one will perform.
