Google Pixel 4 And Pixel 4 XL: Rumored Release Date, Price, Specs And Features
There are many wonderful smartphones coming this year. Among those are the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL, and tech enthusiasts are looking forward to what specs and features will they have. With that being said, here are the things you need to know about the said devices.
The Release Date
Based on the release dates of the previous models, we can say for a fact that Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL will come in the second half of 2019. The only question is which month.
- Pixel — October 2016
- Pixel 2 — October 2017
- Pixel 3 — November 2018
As you can see, it could be either in October or November. However, there’s also a possibility that Google might decide to release them on a different month entirely.
The Price Tag
So far there are two speculated prices, specifically for the Pixel 4. One report noted it could be somewhere between £800 and £900 ($1,053 and $1,185), depending on the memory size of the handset. Meanwhile, another report noted it could be between £900 and £1,000 ($1,185 and $1,316) if Google makes its new devices compatible with 5G networks.
As for the Pixel 4 XL, it will be more expensive of course. How much? Well, if we look at the price tag of the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, the former’s 64GB variant cost £739/$799, while the latter’s 64GB variant cost £869/$899.
Regarding Pixel 4 design, back in January 2019, a Google patent was spotted. The patent design features a Pixel phone with an all-screen design that ditches the notch entirely for maximum display. Meanwhile, its rear design is similar to the Pixel 2, featuring what seems to be a single rear camera, LED flash, and a fingerprint scanner.
Other Rumored Specs/Features
A commit was spotted last month suggesting that the Pixel 4 will come with better dual SIM functionality. As for the other rumored features, it will be 5G-capable and the storage size could be raised from 128GB to 264GB.
