Google Pixel 4 And Pixel 4 XL: Everything We Know So Far
Tech enthusiasts are looking forward to the upcoming high-end smartphones this year from large and well-known tech companies. One of those smartphones are the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL phones. With that being said, here are the things you need to know about the fourth generation Pixel phones.
When Is It Coming Out?
If we’re going to base it on the release dates of the previous models, we can say with full confidence that the Pixel 4 will come at the second half of 2019. However, we’re not sure what month. Well, the thing is, the first and second generation Pixels were released in the month of October, while the third generation was released in November.
How Much Will It Cost?
According to a report, the entry-level Pixel 4 could probably cost between £900 and £1,000. That is if Google makes its new devices compatible with 5G networks. And of course, its larger sibling, the Pixel 4 XL, will be more expensive.
What Will They Look Like?
So far we’ve seen two Google patents.
One was back in December 2018 which was for a foldable smartphone design that improves the overall durability of foldable displays and looks similar to the rival foldable smartphone Samsung Galaxy X. Of course, the probability of this being the Pixel 4 is close to impossible. It could be a future Pixel phone, but definitely not the fourth generation Pixel. But hey, who knows.
The second patent was spotted last month. The patent design depicts an all-screen handset that ditches the notch entirely for maximum display. Meanwhile, its rear design is similar to the Pixel 2 which features what looks like a single rear camera, LED flash, and a fingerprint scanner.
What Specs Will It Carry?
Aside from the rumor that the 2019 Pixel phones could be 5G capable, there are two other rumors as well. One is that the storage size could raise from 128GB to 264GB and the other is that they could come with dual sim trays, allowing users to use two mobile networks at once.
