Google Pixel 4 And Pixel 4 XL: Release Date, Price, Specs, Features And What We Want To See
The Google Pixel 4 is one of the highly anticipated high-end smartphones that’s expected to be released this year. With that being said, here are the things that you need to know about the device:
When Is It Coming?
If we’re going to base it on the release date of the previous models, we can expect the Pixel 4 to arrive either in October or November. This is because the first and second generation models were released in the month of October while the third generation model was released in December.
How Much Will It Cost?
The Pixel 4 is expected to feature a price tag starting at above $800. On the other hand, its larger sibling, Pixel 4 XL, could have a price closer to $1,000.
Design And Display
The Pixel 4 is expected to have a two-tone rear panel just like its predecessors. In fact, according to a report, Google filed a patent for a notch-less, all-glass smartphone last month.
In terms of RAM storage, the Pixel 4 is expected to at least offer 6GB RAM. As for the internal memory storage, it’s expected to be the same (64/128GB) because Google offers free Google Drive storage to Pixel users.
Regarding its processor, it will feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 855 chip. There was even device codenamed Google Coral that appeared on Geekbench that featured 6GB RAM, Android Q (aka Android 10), and SD 855 which is speculated to be the Pixel 4.
Details about the Pixel 4’s camera has been kept under wraps. The only lead we have for now is the patent filed by Google last month which shows a single rear camera with a flash.
Last month, XDA Developers got their hands on the early Android Q build. They were able to find Dark Mode which can be enabled all the time or you can set it to turn on automatically depending on the time of the day.
Enabling it will give your device a dark theme. Moreover, this mode is also capable of saving battery on phones with OLED screens.
Android Central’s Joe Maring published a top 5 list of what he wants to see on the upcoming Pixel 4 smartphone. These are:
- An all-new design
- Improved video recording
- A smaller notch
- More RAM
- 5G support
