Google Pixel 3 XL: Active Edge Might Make a Comeback
With the massive reputation of Google as a tech innovator behind it, the Google Pixel 3 XL is already expected to revolutionize how we see smartphones now. The question now is just how daring Google will be with its upcoming smartphone. With the reveal of a few of its most exciting features, it looks like it will not disappoint.
Google Pixel 3 XL’s two big features
Arguably the most exciting development in the Google Pixel 3 XL is the return of the Active Edge feature, according to Express. This particular feature triggers Google Assistant when you squeeze the phone. It was rumored that Google will be phasing out the feature for its next Pixel phone but it seems the tech giant’s developers changed its mind.
Another feature that may be included in the new Pixel phones is wireless charging. If the rumor comes true, the Pixel 3 XL will be the first Google phone to feature wireless charging since the Nexus 6P in 2015.
Prototypes of the new Pixel smartphone also seem to show a mysterious new logo. It has been described as a circular E and its mirror image.
Other Pixel 3 XL improvements
Google’s upcoming Android P mobile OS upgrade may also be making an impact on the Pixel 3 XL, according to Velvetiere. In fact, it may become the first phone to have the official software upgrade. This may mean that the new Pixel smartphones will be radically different from its predecessors.
It was already previously reported that both Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will have a similar design to the iPhone X with its notched display. This means that buyers may be seeing the widest screen on a Google Pixel device ever.
