Google Pixel 3 Will Have Latest All-White Look for Gmail and Other Google Apps
Many previews have been seen online on how the look of the products from the tech company Google—from Android to Chrome. The company has been redesigning some of its existing Android apps. The new Material Design makeover is given to the apps just in time for the upcoming launch of the Google Pixel 3 as well as the Android P.
According to Ars Technica, a new Google design video just got leaked. In the video, the new Material Design presented several apps for Gmail, Google Drive, Google Photos, and Google Trips. Adam Grabowski and Nicolo Bianchino created the video. They worked with the company on the previous video demos for significant designs. They just are collaborators and deal with the clips but are not Googlers.
If you pay attention as you play the video, a simpler design is made across the board both for the color palette and the various UI elements. It seems that white is the dominant color for all the apps looking cleaner. Just, for example, the Gmail app loses its dominant red shade with a lot of white. The experience is becoming richer and more in line with the web design.
Then, the top menu is already located at the bottom to make it convenient and improve one-handed operation. Just so you will know, the Android P on Pixel 3 is expected to delete the iconic navigation menu, which has been always present on Android. Then, the bottom menu depends on what page you are browsing on.
As of now, these designs for the said Google apps are just mockups because there is still no green signal from the company on whether to push these looks to the users or not. Similar designs for the apps were rolled out before but some never made it. Whether this will happen or not, the release of Android P for late summer and the launch of the Google Pixel 3 for early fall are official.
