Google Pixel 3 Release Date, Specs, Leaks: Flagship Will be Introduced This Coming October
The tech company Google seems to be coming back to its tracks into the smartphone industry this year. It is rumored to announce their highly anticipated Google Pixel 3 alongside the Pixel 3 XL this Autumn. An official Google Pixel Watch is also speculated to be released as Android Wear since it will be running the Wear OS.
According to Daily Express, the new Google Pixel 3 flagship phone will be an Android device with some significant upgrades on the Pixel 2. The company has not confirmed yet about this phone and what might it look like. However, they have a track record on releasing a flagship phone around October, and this similar situation may likely happen and repeat for the two upcoming devices.
To recall, on last year’s October 4, the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL got introduced, and then the pre-orders started soon after that. Then, on October 17, these current phones were already on the shelves. The same fate and timeframe will likely occur to the upcoming devices based on the company’s previous launches. The Pixel 2 even got released in the US simultaneously in the UK.
In terms of specification, the latest version of Android 9.0 P operating system will come running the upcoming devices. The company has already unveiled a public beta version of this operating system, which is now available for download. The upcoming device will feature a 5.4-inch screen with the dimensions of 145.6 x 68.2 x 7.9 millimeters.
The rear design of Pixel 3 will be similar to the current Pixel 2 with a two-tone finish and a bottom bezel. The rear is also all glass to likely support wireless charging. In the photography department, the dual-lens selfie cameras will be on the front with a single-lens rear camera. There will be a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and a USB Type-C port. However, the 3.5mm headphone port is no longer present.
