Google Pixel 3: Here's Every Leak From Previous Month
Google Pixel 3 is one of the most awaited smartphone products of the year. The buying public expects that the next entry in Google’s high-end smartphone line is going to show major improvements over its predecessors.
Google Pixel 3 leaks for June
June 2018 was full of a lot of leaks about this upcoming smartphone. While none of the leaks are confirmed to be on the actual phone yet, the excitement about the Pixel 3 has only been raised because of the information. These are among the eight leaks about the Google Pixel 3 that came out in June:
Third “mid-range” model
One of the biggest news about the Pixel 3 is the report that a third model is in development, according to Forbes. Apart from the main model and the XL, an affordable model is also in the works. It will have a Snapdragon 710 chipset, which means that its performance is strong even for a mid-range phone. However, it may not be released along with the first two models.
Prototypes of the Pixel 3 that have leaked suggest that the notch will be deeper this time around. This may mean that the size of the bezel on the smartphone will be smaller. This also indicates that there could be space for a bigger battery.
No headphone jack
Photos of the Pixel 3 that have leaked do not show any headphone jack, according to The Verge. Traditionally seen next to the USB-C port, this may mean that Google is pushing for wireless speaker and headphones instead.
Return of Active Edge
One of the best features of the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL is Active Edge. This enables users to just squeeze their phone to activate Google Assistant, according to Forbes. This makes asking questions and searching keywords easier than ever. Thankfully, Google decided to retain this particular feature for the Pixel 2’s successor.
Google seems to be pulling all the stops when it comes to the design of the Pixel 3. The external design will feature stereo speakers, a notch, and a chin. A glass back will also be incorporated into the design. Media outlets, however, have different reports on the camera of the Pixel 2 successor. Most say that it will have a dual camera feature. There are also those that say this feature will be reserved for a future smartphone.
Potential Q2 2019 release
Credible reports say that the release of the Pixel 3 will not be this October. Since development just recently started, the most likely date would be in the second quarter of next year.
Those who are yearning for the phase-out of the wireless charging feature of Google phones will be delighted with the news that wireless charging will be coming back. Back in 2015, Google dropped the feature from the Nexus 6P. With reports saying that the Pixel 3 will have a glass back, it seems wireless charging is on the horizon.
