Google Pixel 3 And Pixel 3 XL Set To Launch On October 9 Featuring Bezel-less Display
Numerous leaks about the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL have surfaced online. Now that these devices’ October 9 release date nears another leak has surfaced hinting that the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL’s successor will feature a bezel-less display.
One Slashleaks forum member has uploaded some screenshots of the Device Setup page of the Google Pixel 2 XL. It is worth pointing out that all throughout the setup pages, the Android Pie keeps mentioning an illustration illustrating a perfectly bezel-less smartphone, which was speculated to be the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. The illustration also indicated no notch or a chin, thus imitating a Mi MIX 2. The illustration also showed a power button and the volume rocker keys situated on the sides.
Moreover, there is also a short video that shows a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor featuring a signature Pixel-style dual tone rear panel. In addition, the Edge Squeeze feature which came from the Pixel 2 could also be making its way to the much-awaited Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.
Despite that, it is worth pointing out that based on the leaks of Google Pixel 3 XL that the tech enthusiasts have seen, it’s nowhere close to the illustrated smartphone that was used for the setup screens. With that, there could be a possibility that the biggest search engine company is mocking at other smartphone makers with the leaked prototypes for their notches and huge chins. Also, this could have something totally revolutionizing for the October 9 event.
It can be recalled that the fully bezel-less smartphone was seen from Vivo, OPPO and Xiaomi. There is a possibility that Google might, at last, do some justice to its flagship devices with a first-class design as an alternative to just following the trend.
This information is just based on leaks and is advised to be taken with a pinch of salt. But then as new details about the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL surface, we’ll surely keep you posted!
