Google Reveals iOS 11.1.2 Exploit Specifics, Jailbreak Tool To Arrive This Month
Although it seems very weird, Google has revealed an iOS 11.1.2 exploit specifics. But then, there was really a research conducted by the biggest search engine company to determine how susceptible this version of iOS was.
According to 9to5Mac, it was in December when Google has learned an iOS exploit specifics. Consequently, this is possibly the first iOS 11 jailbreak. The susceptibility of the kernel was in fact, publicly shared.
It was Google’s Project Zero researcher Ian Beer who released an announcement. He stated that one day he will share one of the many exploits to the current iOS version. The security patches delivered by Apple for its security errors were projected for iOS 11.2. With that being said, Beer was slated to share the said exploits any moment
Apart from that, Blorge has stated in its article that Beer found out that this exploit would work for all gadgets. Unluckily, he wasn’t able to test them personally. Moreover, he said that the exploit should take complete control of the operating system’s core. But despite the popularity of jailbreaking for the developer and user perception, a new curiosity has reemerged from the developer community for the iOS 11 – 11.1.2 exploit.
As of this moment, there is still no update as regards to a new jailbreak. However, the users are suggested to wait a bit longer. This is because if they update to the latest firmware, they will no longer be capable of running the exploit discovered by Google’s Project Zero on their iOS device.
The Cupertino-based company has stopped signing iOS 11 – 11.1.2, thus, the jailbreak community may want to keep it low for now. They can wait for the biggest jailbreak revelation that is anticipated to happen this month from the developer community.
