Stars making special appearances in their filmmaker friends’ films is passé. Now people from behind the camera are also putting up appearances in movies. We are talking about well-known choreographer-turned-filmmaker Farah Khan and music composer duo Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani who are all set to make a special appearance in Karan Johar’s much-awaited production venture Student Of The Year 2.

As the title of the film suggests itself, SOTY 2 is a sequel to Johar’s 2012 blockbuster Student Of The Year, which launched the careers of Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra in Bollywood. While Karan called the shots for SOTY, its sequel is being directed by Puneet Malhotra who has previously helmed I Hate Luv Stories (2010) and Gori Tere Pyaar Mein (2013) for Dharma Productions.

Recently, Farah Khan, Vishal Dadlani, Shekhar Ravjiani dropped by the sets of Student of the Year 2 to shoot their portions in the film. The trio makes an appearance as judges during a dance contest sequence in the flick. The song will also feature the film’s leads Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday, and Tara Sutaria.

Interestingly, Farah Khan was also a part of Student Of The Year’s hit song Disco Deewane. There also, she was seen judging a dance competition along with Vaibhavi Merchant. When Farah was contacted to confirm the news of her making an appearance in SOTY 2, she said, “Yes, I have a special appearance in the sequel, as I did in the original film, as a judge for the dance contest. Punit, who is a close friend, requested me to do it. Karan’s (Johar) production house is home to me.”

The said song has been choreographed by Remo D’souza. Student Of The Year 2, which marks the Hindi film debut of Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria, is scheduled to roll into cinemas on 10th May 2019.
