Now, we are excited about sharing with you the recent news and rumors about the 2018 tech exhibition.
Over the past couple of years, we saw major players use the platform to introduce their newest devices and the IFA 2018 is no exception. The event will feature new stuff starting from home appliances all the way down to consumer electronics. Let’s take a quick look at the things to look out for.
Sony introduced two of their main line in last year’s IFA exhibition and they launched the Xperia XZ1 and the XZ1 Compact. A few months later, they introduced a new set of flagship variants, namely the XZ2, XZ2 Compact and the recently launched XZ2 Premium. This year, we might see another one from the tech giant.
Recent rumors suggest that there is a certain phone that is currently being a workout by Sony which is expected to be called Xperia XZ3. The company still haven’t provided any official details about the claim yet but if they decide to release the phone at the IFA 2018, it would be a great news to all Xperia lovers out there.
Huawei is also taking part in this year’s IFA and this might be the perfect place to introduce the rumored Mate 20. Reports suggest that the new Mate 20 sports a 6.3-inch display which might be the direct answer for Samsung’s new Galaxy Note 9.
Aside from this, talks also suggest that there might be two variants of the Mate 20 which comes with a ‘Lite’ and a ‘Pro’. The Pro version features a huge 6.9-inch display while the Lite comes with a slightly less powerful internals.
The stage is also set for LG at the IFA 2018 expo. Last year’s event was the venue where the company introduced the LG V30 and now is expected to get the V40 or the V40 ThinQ up and running for the public.
IFA 2018 might be a good place to introduce smartwatches and fitness trackers. One notable player in this department is Fossil which is expected to launch new sets of wearables this year. The same thing is expected for Google as a direct answer for Samsung and Fitbit recently updated wearables.
Samsung was the first to launch a major product in the wearable department and just a few days ago, Fitbit followed that mark with the release of the Charge 3. Now, the stage is set for Google to release their new Pixel Watch. Although there weren’t any specific details provided by the company yet, it wouldn’t surprise us if Google uses the expo to introduce their new device.
Another interesting news about LG is the possibility of entering the smart wearable race with their very own smartwatch. The same can be said to Huawei as there are few interesting patents recently submitted by the company for as a possible preparation for entering the smartwatch competition.
The IFA 2018 expo is one of the most exciting events in the tech world since it features new and exciting products in and around the tech world. The event will run from the 31st of August up until the 5th of September in Berlin, Germany.
