Everything You Must Know About OnePlus 7 Ahead Its Possible Launch
Shenzhen-based smartphone manufacturer OnePlus usually introduces two flagship devices every year. The first device is a standard model launched in the first half and then followed by a “T” model in the second half. This is similar to the current OnePlus 6T in October 2018.
According to Pocket-lint, predicting the exact release date for the upcoming OnePlus 7 is becoming a little harder because there is no traditional official month like the tech giant Apple. The Chinese company released the current OnePlus 6 on 21 May 2018 whereas the current OnePlus 5 got introduced on 11 June 2017.
The company already teased 15 January 2019 before the OnePlus 6T’s launch but no mentioning of the device yet. However, the upcoming OnePlus 7 is expected to arrive sometime between the middle of May and the middle of June next year. It will likely be expensive than the predecessor that costs at £499.
In terms of specifications, the upcoming device will have an edge-to-edge OLED display that is possibly larger than the 6.4-inch display of the predecessor. The display will come with a small hole at the top to house the camera, which is similar to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10. If not, a slide up camera will be present as the current Oppo Find X. There will be a glass back, wireless charging support, a built-in-display fingerprint scanner, and water resistance with an actual IP rating.
The upcoming device will come with the latest Qualcomm chipset like the Snapdragon 855 with plenty of RAM. It will offer a decent large around 3700mAh battery capacity and microSD that none of the previous models do. It is speculated to be among the first 5G-enabled devices to come to the market. The company’s co-founder Carl Pei claimed at a mobile data summit that the company will be one of the first manufacturers of these 5G phones.
